
Salmon Discovery Day 2025

Come celebrate the wonder of the annual Chinook salmon migration in Owen Sound!
This self-guided adventure takes you along the Sydenham River starting at the West Side Boat Launch (1451 1st Ave W, Owen Sound) and ending at the Inglis Falls Arboretum (237897 Inglis Falls Road, Owen Sound), with plenty of chances to stop and watch salmon on their incredible journey.
Along the way, collect stamps at each viewing stop in your Salmon Discovery Passport. Once you reach the end, submit your completed passport for a chance to win a prize!
This family-friendly, interactive event invites people of all ages to explore local ecology, learn about freshwater ecosystems, and experience the awe-inspiring journey of salmon returning to spawn.
