Watershed Guardians
The Watershed Guardians program is a GSCA signature program, designed to highlight the importance of what we do as an organization.
One of GSCA’s key deliverables to our local communities is developing a Watershed Report Card every 5 years that offers insight into the health of our natural resources. This data helps identify problems, target actions, and support scientifically based decision-making to preserve and improve our ecosystems.
The program aims to raise awareness and understanding of GSCA’s role in our communities and how we can enhance the health of our watersheds. It highlights various ways we can conserve, restore, and protect our natural resources.
To ensure accessibility for those with financial limitations, GSCA is committed to subsidizing the costs of this program. We seek grants and corporate funding to sponsor classes, covering or reducing fees.
This is a curriculum-linked program for students in grades 4 and 8 but can be modified and offered on a by-request basis.
