Grey Sauble Conservation Authority (GSCA) staff are updating our Forest Management Policy and Forest Management Plan and are requesting your input.
The Forest Management Policy provides a framework for forest management activities on GSCA properties. It is the enabling policy document for our Forest Management Plan.
The Forest Management Plan was created from the framework set out in the the Forest Management Policy. The Forest Management Plan outlines our strategic forest management activities for the next 20 years. The plan describes the history of forest management on our properties, the current state of the forest, the methods used to manage the forest and the desired outcomes of our management activities.
Your feedback will assist GSCA in developing a comprehensive Forest Management Plan to help maintain healthy, diverse forest ecosystems, which will provide ecological, social, and economic benefits to this region.
If you have questions or would like clarification about either document, please email Mike Fry, Forestry Coordinator or call (519) 376-3076.
