Flood Forecasting & Warning
Grey Sauble Conservation Authority (GSCA) operates a flood forecasting and warning system for the eight municipalities in the Grey Sauble watershed. The purpose of this system is to reduce flood damage and protect lives by providing advance notice to residents in flood‑prone areas. Staff track water levels, precipitation, and snowpack, predict potential flooding, and share timely updates with municipal partners. GSCA also works with municipalities to develop flood contingency plans. During drought conditions, staff assess watershed data and coordinate the local Low Water Response Team.
